My name is Asia~Blue, and I am the writer, poet, and the heart behind Wishful Thinking.
I started this space in 2017 because I needed somewhere to go—somewhere to pour the words I couldn’t say out loud. What began as a personal refuge slowly evolved into something far bigger: a digital sanctuary for stories shaped by longing, heartbreak, healing, and the kind of quiet hope that keeps you soft even when life tries to harden you.
I’ve always taken comfort in my own words before anyone else could. They’ve been my anchor, my rebellion, my prayer. And now, through Wishful Thinking, they’ve become something I can offer to others. A place where someone else might feel less alone. A place where the unspoken gets spoken.
My writing lives at the intersection of tenderness and tension—exploring memory, intimacy, emotional inheritance, and the way we rebuild ourselves after breaking. I’ve worked as an editor, tutor, and cultural critic, but above all, I am a storyteller. One who believes in the sacred power of language to connect, to disrupt, and to soothe.
This site is a living archive of poetry, essays, music, and moments I was brave enough to capture. A love letter to the beauty in what we survive. And if something you read here stays with you, then that means everything to me.
Thank you for finding your way here.
I hope it feels like comfort.
I hope it feels like home.
With love and a little bit of wishful thinking,
-AB
